I drink gin and tonics and red wine. Also have high BP and weight became a bigger struggle once I hit mid-late 40s. I think the BP is more about food and level of exercise in my case.

I drink red year round. As long as I am indoors and ac is cranked up.

Noted, sir. Thanks for the tip!

Brought a couple of bottles to Curate in Asheville for dinner with family earlier this month. I think it’s the first time my in-laws ever really took a vacation and the first time I saw my dad in 3 years, so packed up a couple of pretty good bottles for the trip. Not pictured: the gin that went with that can of tonic.
Love Curate! Over due for another visit, enjoy!

I have so much wine in my closet and the fridge outside but we rarely drink it. My wife doesn't want any most of the time and I am not gonna down a bottle by myself so I end up drinking beer instead. I need to drink what I have to make room for new stuff...I have over 100 bottles! Yikes

You should invite me over. I love red wine. But I'll have to spend the night. I don't drink and drive.

Picked-up this Cabernet Sauvignon "Light" by mistake. It didn't to breath. It needed CPR.

That’s the first time I’ve ever seen a Cabernet Light.

It's Fall Release time for a number of my Washington State Wine Clubs. Asked a couple buddies to join me for tastings and pick-up at four of my clubs and dropped into a 5th and just picked up the wine.

Could only fit 8 cases in the back of our X6 and needed the back seat for the other 2. The X6 doesn't have the best "utility" for rear cargo space but I'm not sure the X5 would have had more room without stacking boxes.

Picked up at DeLille, Fidelitas, Avennia, aMaurice, and Dusted Valley. Made sure to enjoy a long dinner at Purple Cafe in Woodinville, WA with nothing but lots of water before heading home. With over 1,000 Washington State Wineries we have a few more yet to visit .

We had some nice wines when meeting friends in Asheville last weekend:

Friday night: 2 bottles Sena (2015)
Saturday night: Vineyard 29 Aida Estate (2015), Silver Oak (2015) and Lewis Cabernet (2018)

Now I have no wine left in Asheville, but that’s ok since we won’t be back there until the Spring.

I need to remember to look for the Sena when I am out and about. I always think about it when I am not looking at wine!

It’s pretty hard to find. Benchmark Wine and B-21 online are the 2 places I have found it. I like the 2018 but it needs a little more time. Really like the 2015 but it’s getting harder to find and more expensive.

Just bought the Wine Advent Calendar from Costco: $99.99 for 24 375ml bottles and a whole lot of fun this December!

Celebrated our 31st wedding anniversary today. Was considering what to have at dinner and saw this. We visited the Donati Family Vineyard about 10 years ago, and thought it apropos. Winery is a lovely Chateau on Hwy 46. One of many on that stretch of road!

Wine delivery day. Except two of the more important ones (Realm Cellars and Mayacamas) haven’t arrived yet as we close in by 5 pm. Fucking FedEx. Maybe posting this will trigger the arrival of the 2 missing shipments.

Finally got the bottles delivered from Realm Cellars when they offered to ship fresh bottles after the FedEx fuckup. (Mayacamas just returned.)

Had my wine collection F'd by Ida. Eight days without power so the wine baked in 90+ degree heat. Have a bottle of '74 Heitz Cellars Mathra's Vineyard, a dozen Chateau Margaux and other 1990 Bordeaux's, a magnum of Diamond Creek, a magnum of Heitz Cellars... 110 bottles in total. Time to drink them I guess.

I’m ashamed to admit I’m not familiar with most of these but I’ll gladly have a glass or two of the 2012 Stags Leap. Yum! Enjoy.

Oh man sorry to hear. Definitely start drinking and see how they did. Maybe it’s not as bad as you think.
