Ya, I'm not as critical of the Aliens franchise as some. For sure A LOT of the characters did some outrageously stupid things but I appreciate that they tried to expand the story. I liked Resurrection a lot and felt sorry for the hybrid.

Liked it as well. Also felt sorry for the 'baby.' So did Ripley.

I like the original one the best and I don't think this one will change that, but we'll see. Will at least give it a chance.
The original The Omen was the best. I even liked The Omen II.

I’ll be curious for your review.

Spent some 40 freakin hours on planes this past 3 weeks so watched a few.

Oppenheimer:
Very good, didn't feel as long as it was (that's what she said). Lead actor was superb, as was RDJ.

All The President's Men (1976):
Stand out performance from Dustin Hoffman but the movie basically consisted of Redford calling random people for 2 hours only to get all he needed from deepthroat after he ran out of patience. Weird.

Take Him To The Greek
Two lead actors are a good fit and Byrne is always worth a watch. Had some LOL moments, good airplane fodder as you fly over the abyss between Hawaii and Australia where the flight map seemingly sits still for 9 hours.

We watched this last night and I'll be honest it was a bit of a disappointment. The acting wasn't great and the story just seemed to miss the mark. It wasn't awful but I think the original was better, I might have to rewatch it just to compare.

I didn't watch it yet but I'm guessing I'll agree with you and Murf. It's extremely hard to top the original, it was so good and had everything a red-blooded man could want.

There's Winona Ryder and Catherine O'Hara. They probably didn't want Jeffrey Jones because he's now a registered sex offender.

Will see it when it comes out. Hope it's good and does the original justice.

I mean Jake Gyllenhal as a tough guy, really? And a MMA fighter? It'll be garbage, you can tell from the trailer.

Actually, he was the most believable part.

Well, it's not exactly Shakespeare and I usually like being kept in the dark for films imma see, so no trailers. My bar's pretty low but we'll see.

I read a hilarious review saying that McGregor wasn't convincing basically cuz he failed to act like himself.

^ No offense to anyone, but I think it looks terrible.

Keep seeing images on TV of those two facing each other. Ugh!

None taken, I don't expect it to be Shakespeare like I said, much like the original. I just want to have a good time. Check out @0:25

Poor Patrick Swayze; died too young. I like his version of this movie and several others that he did.

I tend to be a little late watching movies…mostly because I like to watch them in my own home theater vs the movie theaters with everyone checking their phones (yes, old man yelling at the clouds)

I just watched “Prey” last night and thought it was a decent take on the Predator franchise. They spent a little too much time in the beginning on making our protagonist the ‘dumb little girl that wants to hunt’ and not just letting her be herself and showing what she can do without having to be rescued by her brother.

Some of the VFX were a little off (the lion they were hunting and the bear that ended up being gutted by the Predator) but it was a beautifully shot film out in the wilderness.

I was pleasantly surprised by this one and will probably watch it again.

Tend to agree... the bits of "of-the-moment" wokeism in the film were overshadowed by how decent the rest is.

Watched GODZILLA X KONG

For me... EXACTLY what I was hoping for and wanted: "Non-stop Monster Mayhem and Action"!
So I give it a 4.5. Why not 5? It could have been even longer running timefor me.
