Aeropress for me. Cheap and extremely effective. The whole kit is the size of a can of beer. I take it on trips, camping, etc.

At work, we have a fancy grinder, Chemex, and a $700 expresso machine. The expresso is awesome. I can't tell any difference in flavor between the Chemex and the Aeropress. Both are priced the same.

When I clicked on the thread, a part of me was hoping that it would be like a cars & coffee but construction equipment & coffee. You know, a bunch of excavators and front loaders and such.

Don't know if I consider myself an expert, I just like it a lot.

Needless, this is my setup.

- open portafilters w/butterfly effect baskets
- Pesado heads
DC64 variable speed grinder
- flat burrs
Acaia Black Lunar scale

Yeah, the text had me going for a second, then I saw the pictures!

What a set up, wish I loved coffee that much.

If our new Aarke doesn’t work out, I’m going right back to this Technivorm!

Even though there are parts and pieces, it’s one of the only coffee makers I could make coffee with before I’ve had coffee and it makes great coffee.

Started my morning. I'll need to post a video...watching a shot pour is soothing.

Nice setup! Is the "Pesado heads" their new HD shower screen, or something else?

Yup, the inner shower head. I dont know that it make 1 shot any better....but id say if you're going multiple shot for family, they're more consistant.

I prefer drip coffee and brew it every morning. We generally purchase from Sparrow Coffee in Chicago, but pick up coffee beans from local roasters where we travel.

I currently use:

1. Ratio Six Coffee Machine
2. Fellow Ode Gen 2 Grinder
3. Zwilling Enfinigy Scale
4. If You Care Filters
Replaced the Ratio Six with the Fellow Aiden. Ran a single cup “pour over” and it was quite delicious. Curious how the standard drip compares to the Ratio.

These have become my very favorite beans. I highlyrecommend for espresso.

these two are good as well, but the Necessary is the best.

I've heard that you can custom code the "gaggia" and it is next level espresso. I'm currently running a breville barista pro

I've realized after multiple attempts at becoming a barista... it's not the life for me. I don't have the patience for it. So in FL this is basically it.

I do have a Breville Barista Touch also but honestly I had them both setup at the previous house and I never used the Breville so I haven't even unpacked it at the new house.

In NC I basically have the same setup but I have the base Phillips that doesn't have the auto frother which is fine with me because 90% of the time I'm not having a milk drink anyways. I also have the Breville up there and have both machines setup and still rarely use the Breville. For me I feel I get 80-90% of the way there with the Phillips and that extra 20% just isn't worth the extra effort. Occasionally if I'm craving a really good cappuccino I will use it and remember why I rarely use it.

Breville Barista Express Impress for espresso. I really like it HOWEVER I am going to get something with more control for my next machine.

I'm noticing a lot of love for espresso in this thread, but what about other formats? I love my Hario V60 and my cheap Amazon French Press. If I want a milk beverage I'm firing up the Breville but for the price the V60 and French Press are honestly the most impressive parts of my coffee setup.

lots of bougie coffee machines in here...impressed. Huge coffee addict and wanna-be aficionado here, but the budget doesn't allow for anything crazy.....just a Keurig drip machine for me. Occasionally use an old fashioned percolator and then french press on cold snowy days. Old Bisbee roasters was my go-to

What is currently killing me is my grinder...it just sucks...generic one I had to pick up in a hurry.

I need a grinder that allows for selection of grind...any recommendations?

Fellow Ode 2 has been amazing. Had the Ode 1 and the 2 improved on it considerably.

I have a few friends at the office that picked up the Ode 2 based on my recommendation and love it as well.

It’s not cheap though.

Thanks! I'll check it out....grind can absolutely make the coffee, so it's worth it to me for a good one
