I couldn't get Clorox in the local Shop Rite and Stop & Shop for about 6 weeks. Not sure if it was flu/virus related.

So here are a couple of excerpts from an interesting article I've read (link included) that IMHO put things into perspective.
https://www.businessinsider.com/coro...sk-2020-2?op=1 "If indeed we discover that there are far more cases than are actually being reported — and that one of the primary reasons for this is that we're just not detecting asymptomatic or mild or moderately symptomatic cases that don't end up seeking healthcare — then our estimates for the case fatality rate will likely decrease," Lauren Ancel Meyers, an epidemiologist at the University of Texas at Austin, told Business Insider. In total, COVID-19 has killed more than 4,000 people and infected more than 116,000. It originated in Wuhan, central China's most populous city, and has since spread to more than 100 other countries. About 70% of cases are on the Chinese mainland." |

First thing I thought of. People have been watching too many movies
That's still one of my favorite movies of all time though.

It's all fun and games until you realize that maybe you should have been more proactive. I can tell the posters here who are single or without kids. It's cool. I still pray for all of you.

When is facebook going to run for president? I mean, we already live in a society where most everyone received their education from Facebook. It's comical to me as I see/hear it daily. The vast majority of conversations that I hear anymore begin with "I saw on facebook....."
Awesome. Soon the only ones left to inherit the earth will be the fat, lazy people who had nothing to offer society, yet they will be the only ones left. |

In any case, I would be ripped!!!! **Edit** The above post is meant purely for fun. I don't take what is happening any less seriously, but all we can do is follow common sense. There is so much doom and gloom in the world, and we sometimes forget we are all in this together. I wish the best for everyone on here, and their respective families.

I think we're overreacting and most people are acting like wildebeests when a lion is near, but I'm not arguing with you. I just hope I'm right and you're wrong. Thank you for the prayers. Back at you. |

Local stores:
Aldi: out of toilet paper, rest was in stock Walmart: out of vitamin C and all sorts of paper sanitation products Home Depot: No lysol, yes tp Lowe's: No anything other than tools and wall paint, all out Menards: Out of virtually anything, enforcing a 3 per household limit it's a shitstorm out here with everyone panicking, I have reached a point where I can survive in my apartment and get all my work done basically overnight. all the courses and organizations are transferring to online methods sounds like it'd be dope to have a client call in boxers and a button down but also would've preferred to continue my life as it was before yesterday... |

So i don't get the bottled water and crap wrap thing. If you have a source of heat then you can boil water if need be, really the TP and bottled water thing makes absolutely no sense.
Everyone should have some dried goods like pasta and canned goods, bean, soup etc. But really, god helps the idiots. |

I have no crystal ball as to the scarcity of essentials goods. I simply choose to take reasonable precautions. I've come to the "general llife conclusion" of:
Better to have than need rather than need and not have. |

I guess i just dont see it getting that far. If we get to a point where running water gets shut off you can bet electric and gas are probably on their way out too.
At that point we would essentially go into anarchy. |

Yes I can confirm first hand that Amazon is flagging accounts/deleting listings for people/stores that are price gouging right now. |
