When it comes to wheels the preference and taste is subjective. Looking at some of the aftermarket wheel selection on some of our beloved /// cars one can be amazed how polarised taste can be. My 2c. Good topic!

I have CSL reps on my Audi....yeah yeah I know *flame suit on*
And when I saw the 763M debut I knew I had to have them despite the fact that I really do love the 437M design. BMW wheels have been winners for ages. |

Hard to say who makes the nicest wheel out of all they produced. I think BMW has more wheels that I like. The one definite thing I can say is that BMW has the ugliest wheel of them all...the 666 wheel is horrific. Only the Ronal teddy bear wheel is worse.

Ronal also made a koala bear wheel. Both were factory fitted on the mazda 121

2002 homage wheels needs to be in production already.
I check out configurators of other brands every now and then and do feel BMW has really slick selection. I'm including their M performance wheels though and I think that is what makes their selection much larger from the rest.

This thread needs E36 wheel pics stat!
The 666m is my fave modern/busy look and that Alpina turbine design never gets old. And yes, Porsche has some legendary wheels as well. 996 Turbo twist and 997 Lobster claws come to mind. Great thread!

I think the E36 M3 wheel creates a lot of emotion in me... probably the time in my life... anyway I bought one and put it on the wall in the garage

Nice read. I agree, in general BMW has done a nice job with wheels. I loved the BBS style rims on my E39 528 and 530, and still love the style 65 wheels on my E39 M5 (one of the best wheel designs ever, in my biased opinion).
I like the OE wheels on my Z4M coupe well enough, but they don't seem that special to me. I love the CSL wheels on the E92 comp pack and keep thinking about getting a set, but want to keep it all OE (I suppose it's all in the family!). I truly wasn't sure about the 666 wheels on my F80 until I them in the flesh for the first time during my ED. Now I love them. All of which begs the question - what the hell is M thinking with the wheel choices on the F90 M5??

This is exactly how I feel but I swapped my DSII's for the forged BMW Motorsports. Probably my favourite BMW wheel ever.
