Well in Singapore, b4 u get a car, you need a paper COE ( certificate of entitlement) which allows ur car to be on the road. This COE paper last only 10 years the day u register. And it cost, currently anything capacity below 1600, $60000, anything above 1600, $85000. It will be included in all car prices.
And after 10yrs, if you would like to continue, u need to buy that COE again... Even motorcycle Coe cost ard $2500. Soon we will have gps built in the car, the government, will charge whenever we use the car.. Owning a car is costly here .. I do envy other countries do not have this COE.... |
