I been to Ukraine many many times. Just came back home from a 3 month long trip to Lviv and Kiev. I think Moscow and cities in Ukraine are similar drivers.

I was not impressed with the driving. I'd say he failed completely when it comes to risk assessment. One unexpected lane change from another driver, and it would have ended in tears. Here is a video from Russian roads where they were less lucky (warning: some quite ugly crashes):
