The actual physical environment sucks; old building, old furniture, old equipment. But we get the fridge stocked with food and the drink cooler stocked with everything imaginable, including red bull, so I'm happy. And I like the people I work with, and my position. Sometimes I don't exactly enjoy the projects I'm given, but hey can't have it all.

My salary is competitive and we get up to 20% performance bonuses. Health benefits are paid 100% for including spouse and dependents ... that's pretty rare based on most of the companies I've interviewed with or worked for. Gym membership is paid for.

Almost feels like the .com days again.

You guys that don't have kids, when or if you ever do, will start to appreciate work a whole lot more.

Sounds like big blue's benefits... though the .com statement throws me off, makes me think you're not with big blue... and I dunno much about their bonuses.

We need more tech companies in FL

Nope, no big blue. Private mobile software developer. Did work for Boeing right out of college though. Their benefits were great but they don't their tech employees any kind of fringe. It was even a pain in the ass to go take a tour of the production floor.
