After one of my autoX runs, I got an error message from the adaptive headlights. I guess they got slightly dizzy from the rapid changes of direction...

Had a trip with the car around some scenic routes in Norway. 1820 km of nice scenery seen from the F20. Here are some pictures, some of them with the F20 visible:

this might be a dumb question, but what is the option called for the tinted rear windows?
I figure it's the Shadowline Höghglanz or something like that but not sure... I'm thinking about a Mineral White F20, and that colour practicly demands tinted windows |

Thanks. Very few people like the wheels! :-)
I think there is no harm to the car by running it on a track or through some autoX courses. You only get increased tyre wear, brake pad wear and fuel consumption. It is definitely worth it to get to know the car on the limit, and become a better driver. |

nice car ovekvam! starting to like the valencia orange more and more!
What's your opinion of the 116i engine compared to the 116d? I tried both, and was quite surprised of the petrol's flexibility. was a little dissapointed of the diesel-ish sound when cold-starting it, though. I myself have ordered a 116i M sport estoril blue from Bavaria Stavanger. Can't wait! |

The 116d is pretty strong around 2000-2500 RPM, but the 116i is a lot more flexible. It is also significantly faster, since it has more power.
The 116i is powerful, and not thirsty. I am however disappointed when it comes to sound, engine braking and throttle response. My old 2.5 liter straight six did this a lot better. |

Now the car has about 10 000 km on the odometer. If I was to write a review, I would find very different things to complain about than I have read in magazine reviews so far. I will skip all that positive stuff, since we all know it is a really great car. Let's go on to the annoying details:
- Engine sound. Almost like a diesel. - Throttle response. Made worse by the car forces Comfort mode when you switch off DSC to have some fun with it. - Blinker stalk. Need to double push it to blink out of roundabouts. - Engine braking. Need to run second gear when going downhill. - Rear end of the car collects a lot of dirt/dust. - No temperature gauges in instrument panel. The hidden menu is too complicated. - Arm rests. With seat in lowest position, they are too high. And one is sliding. - No jack. - Ugly airbag warnings on the passenger side sun visor. - No manual intermittent windshield wiping control. - Start/stop-feature default on. Otherwise, the car is brilliant! :-) |

The start/stop is possible to program to be completely off, or to remeber last setting! I did that to my fathers X3 (F25), and it's the same software in the F20. I will program it completely off when i get my new F20!
