Just like everybody else: put it on YouTube or elsewhere on a video hosting site and provide a link.
Alternatively you can attach it to the message as a ".zip" for download. Just mind the size limitation. You might want to rename the ".zip" into ".pdf" to enjoy a larger allowance and provide the correct file extension in the message text but this will be a violation(?) in fact so try to avoid this dirty trick. |

This seems to be your favourite part of the game. Actually it looks like a vehicle body rigidity issue now. It's better a seal then a body. Yet you can first enrich your chemical experience discovering those conditioning endeavours to make sure your seal is dead upon replacement: some report lubrication helps at first, but then it goes even worse than before and you may want to clean if off (or add more?).

Some body flex is normal, so the doors will always have some movement relative to the car. The trick is to let the rubber seals flex, not slide. The friction should be high, not low. That is why silicone spray is not a good idea.

Just a side note.
You might want to write it correctly then. In case you really miss it, names must be written starting with a capital letter (correct spelling matters a lot too, by the way). Failing to do so is a serious mistake indicating a lack of: respect, education, diligence. "People often don’t use capital letters when they’re writing emails or other informal messages" - that's no compliment, nor an excuse: whatever you do you'd better do it right. Those exceptions make you prone to annoying mistakes: you can call your friend different "names" while he believes you don't really mean it, but it takes a close friend to believe in that. Most people aren't. It's you who's informal with your car, unlikely anyone else on this forum.

Do the cars with creaky windows have tinted windows? I use to have a E87 130i and the front windows started making that horrible creaking sound after I tinted the windows.
I now have another 130i (several years later) and I refuse to tint the windows for this very reason.

went to the dealership today and ofc it is well known that the chances of a problem going away when you enter the dealership is very high....it happened to me today.....they couldnt replicate the sound to know whats what....but nevertheless i did order a new window seal for my humble carriage and hopefully it will work and if not i will tell them to use that rather expensive telfon tape

Mine started making noises again after a couple of weeks.
Yesterday i went to the local dealer and it turned out, that they had seen the problem a hundred times before. It disappeared when i opened the windows just 1 cm. So i thought that was where the problem was ( between door and window ). But it comes from the felt seals at the top of the doors. When the windos are closed firmly, they create a little extra pressure on the top of the door which is transmitted to the felt seals. When the seals get dry from rain, dust, etc. they loose the ability to slide smoothly. One touch of a spunge with vinyl dressing ( for outside parts ) erased the creaking right there. It took one minute. Such a joy. It has been driving me nuts. I know my explanation is a mess Let me know, if you want a picture. |

The creak has returned.......and at the same door....the drivers door.....i have noticed that the drivers door is about 2mm higher than the passenger door(not very easy to spot)i have noticed this while looking at the outer sills.....on the other side of the car the doors are aligned perfectly....could it be that the creak came back because of this? O.O im out of ideas....
Could this cause the seal to creak?maybe it adds more pressure on the seal.......do note that i changed the seal over half a year ago and it only came back now.....(didnt put alot of miles since then....) |

When you drive, there will be some movement between the door and the car body. If the seals slide against eachother, it will creak. If the seals are stuck, and just bend, it will be silent. Could you have gotten silicon or wax on the seals somehow?

it's back due to warm weather. there is almost no remedy for these kind of noises. it will always come back when the chemicals you apply wear off. just turn the volume up a little
there is a service bulletin about this, you can use 3m transparent tape between seal and door where the seal and door touches. my F20 had the same noises, my F22 didn't thanks to frameless windows. |

As it's not the car's first spring or half a year the door must've just suffered from being slammed too hard/often (driver's door is most used I suppose).
If it's the misalignment (or even anyway) the new seal should be worn out quite a bit already. Ain't it tape time (to eliminate supposed extra movement of the door)? |
