Honestly, I never believed in meeting people online. I personally much, much prefer to meet women in person. With the current lifestyle and work, however, it’s hard to meet people in person so I figured i’d try online dating. Got out of a 3 years relationship with someone that I once thought I’d propose to so took a while for me to get over it and worked on personal development. Went on some dates as well as turning down some. Recently I decided that I’m ready to really start dating again. I see some attractive ladies around work but it’s the workplace so always a bit iffy.

But seriously, things happen for a reason. Just keep calm and carry on. Things will work out. |

So it definitely works for some. I think in my case though, she was never going to sign up, it was her sister that basically pressured her into signing up for a few weeks on a dare or something from what I remember. I just got lucky. |

No, I know what you are saying. Coming at it from my Christian viewpoint, I just see it as part of God's plan, for me and her. You think about the window (it was in my case only supposed to be 2 weeks or something and then she was going to delete the account), so I had to be looking in that window of time and on the right site (since that was the only one she was on) and also find her out of all the others...pretty narrow odds. Unless you believe that God has a plan for your life. |

Enters Rudi, who pulls up a rocking chair next to the fire place: "Gather 'round lil' children" The year was 2004. I was managing a number of retail locations when a girl whom I had a crush on for years walks in the door of my home office looking for a job......
This is where I skip a bunch of mindless BS, save you all a bunch of time reading, fast forward in a very Tarantino-ish fashion and remind you all not to dip the pen in the company ink. LOTS of fun....but absolutely no positives to be had here. FIRE her ass first! Then dip away! This public service announcement brought to you by the guy who made this mistake so many times that it's laughable.....and honestly you probably shouldn't even take advice from me.....unless you're just trying to get laid and get yourself in trouble. (if this is the case, PM me, I got you.) Last edited by King Rudi; 03-11-2019 at 12:05 PM.. |

I just can't even imagine the stories you would tell in person. I'd probably laugh so hard I'd fall off my chair.

Funny, this is what I used to tell my sales reps.....you know, when I wasn't whispering other things in their ears.
I used to teach them how to back people into a corner and bash them over the head with the closing hammer. Always loved using psychology as a means for closing. "Tell me about the last time you purchased XYZ.....tell me about that experience." "Wouldn't you agreee that blah blah blah" "What if I could save you time and money." Gah, I miss sales |

They always are. I just enjoy mentally playing chess with people, especially when they don't realize it's happening.
What I don't miss about sales is my pay being dependent on emotions.....and not mine. Chargebacks, BRE and 30 day return policy can wreak havoc in the event that a rep can't overcome obstacles and challenge a return. |

I like to think to think I'm somewhat decent at it but haven't in years. I will say that the last time I did was about 10 years ago and had my ass handed to me.....I got beat in a game chess shortly after that too. |

I use the term "challenge" figuratively of course. I too used to play in school, but that was a long time ago and since then I maybe get a game in every 5 years or so except for the last 3 months where I signed up for the app above and started playing much more frequently. I forgot how much I enjoyed it. |
