I've probably only seen it 20 times or so, but it's always great.
It's one of my faves and I've seen it at least that many times as well. On another note, I've watched Bad Boys 1 & 2 hundreds of times each.
Hopefully a cure will be developed for that!
(sure, I've seen airplane over 100 times, and watched Star Wars IV and Star Trek two probably over 250 times. And read The Lord of the ring trilogy probably over 30 times.) so I understand the disease.
If you find the cure let me know. Lol!

I suspect that is one that really needs to be seen in the theater. Hopefully I'll get to see it in next two or three days.
I agree, but I know my lazy ass won't get off of the couch after I'm done working these back-to-back 16-hour shifts followed by a 10-hour shift to end my work week. I'll probably end up finding it on Films Plus.

I expected Top Gun Maverick to be amazing and it exceeded my expectations. My wife and I saw it in XD at the theater. This is not a movie to see at home.

What a movie. Just go see it already!!

My Home Theater begs to differ.

But yeah, my good friend watched it today in XD and really enjoyed it.
I'll probably wait on this one on digital.

The original Matrix is on that list too, I remember seeing it with my gf and wanting to stay in the theater to see it again, was mind blowing at the time, the new one? I grabbed a few beers to get into it

I was worried. How could this movie live up to the original? Good to hear.

Lost a little hope when I saw Top Gun Maverick and AppleBees did a tv commercial together. Thought this can't be a good sign.

I was worried too. I they did an outstanding job of leveraging the original story and paying it homage without just making a redo.

Give it a shot.

This exactly! I was 16 when I watched TopGun back then and was flabbergasted at least. This was way more than a fantastic deja vu.

At the beginning of the movie they play more or less this one. And it's all over the place in the movie. Just like that distinct Bond tune in 007 movies. GOOSEBUMPS and what not.....

I'm so oldskool

9.5/10 for me.

Cheers

That's Steve Stevens playing guitar. I know him from when he played with Billy Idol. Did not know he played on the Top Gun Anthem.

Completely agree.
The only modern bond movies that I've really enjoyed are Goldeneye and Casino Royale.

Well, they say everything is bigger in Texas!

You'll want to see this movie more than once. I'd say go see it in XD and then again on your home system when it is available. Then you will get two awesome experiences!

Top Gun Maverick was awesome! So much nostalgia! Really takes me back to a young age when I first saw it on video. Say what you will about Tom Cruise, but he is one of my favorite actors.

Totally agree! Awesome movie! Brought back a lot of great memories. I first saw TopGun when I was 16, and now my son who is 16 just saw TopGun Maverick! Sends chills up my spine. We are both fans!

I saw TGM yesterday, back row, nearly middle

I went in prepared to be disappointed

I was wrong!

Saw in in standard since there were like 8 of us and the niece bought us all tickets

Will be going back for a better view

They really pushed the envelop of what airplanes can do

Watched Ambulance.
High octane action with a solid host of characters.
definitely worth your watch and a good test for your Home Theater Audio.
