I've noticed at the rear wash/wiper that the paint has started to blister,I contacted a dealer and they've taken some photos for BMW, I'm now waiting for a call to see what the problem is.

Just had the exact same thing happen to me on my 125i. BMW have replaced the fuel pump and its all fixed. Looks like this could be common issue. |

Rust or not?
On the lip on the inside of the doors there is a glue joint. In this bonded joints there are small bubbles (size of a small pea) on all doors. They are at different locations and from 2-5 bubbles on each door. Are these signs of rust or is it normal?

The folding mirrors just started acting up on both sides. It's as if something is in the path obstructing mirror travel. Factory "lubed it" and still does it some time to time.

I had both motors replaced under warranty on my previous BMW when this started to happen intermittently - was told it was due to contacts slowly failing.

Finally checked the seat bases after a whole 3 days of ownership (may 13 build)
No signs of rust thankfully. Looks like they have fixed the problem?

Check it again in Jan / Feb 2014 it will be as old as mine is now at that point and I have rust spots all over them. Just got checked today at the dealer, compared to seats in an X3 and those plates were painted - report raised to BMW UK have to wait to see what they say.

Is the blistering under the paint?. We have a blister about 6mm wide appear next to the boot handle.

Had my first issue with my 125i
The drivers side Headlight LED strip (I called it the Eyebrow) above the angel eyes on the Xenon started to flicker and then went out. It came back on intermittently so I took it to my dealer. Their technicians have the car for an hour whilst they checked it and confirmed that there was a fault inside the LED array so they will have to replace the whole drivers side headlight assembly. The down side is that the part has to come from Germany so there is a two to three week wait. Has anyone else had this fault? |

Just need to book it in and get a loaner for 2 days - I'll be taking photos of the work areas before as suggested by westphone. |

Yes
It is yet another extra here that is standard on many other cars at lesser value Unlike Europe there is still not enough call for them here so they are not included. However, I do not understand why manufacturers still make two different types of mirrors for both L & R as there is very little cost difference from the OEM part manufacturer for the motorised and it means BMW have to have more part bins. You would think it would be far better that they only had the one component in L & R Some car manufacturers are now using the same internal parts for all models but disable the control in their standard/base model. |

Mine works fine, after 18 months. Is it factory fitted or dealer fitted?

They replaced the full drivers side headlight assembly, but guess what- the LED eyebrow was out on the new one when I got home, so back to the dealer the next day and took a loan car for the day 135i coupe (nice drive, but I do prefer the 8 speeder in the F20). After further investigation, they decided it was not the headlight and swapped the RHS light array control module with the left one and it worked until I arrived to pick mine up, when the passenger side failed on start up. It confirm that the fault was in the module. Yet another week to wait whilst the part comes from Germany and another trip back to the dealer. So far I have had a 328i F30 and the 135i coupe as loan cars. Wonder what I will get next? (The 650i in semi matt silver they had on display would be nice) 'one can dream' |
