But when the air is warm, it is not only reducing the power output from the engine, it is also reducing the aero drag. I think warm air hurts acceleration more than it hurts the top speed. But waiting for the holiday traffic to come to an end, is a good idea. :-)
Most modern mobile phones have a built in GPS. |

As long as the phone is placed with a good view of the sky, it is usually rather good when it comes to velocity. The GPS antenna uses a different (and more exact) principle to measure speed than position.
