However, BMW still has a chance to redeem themselves by offering M colors on the 1M. The timing of September production changes come to mind, but I'm not holding my breath because they know they will sell every 1M they can make at Leipzig without any changes. |

Making money hand over fist and gaining in popularity with each "unpopular" move they make. SAVs, check. M Sport models, check, AWD M cars, likely also check. Etc. I got no problems with that.

What incentive does BMW have to make any changes to the current 1M? It'll be out of production in a few months and it is so low volume, I can't see why they'd bother.

Whiners? You still have access to some good BMW's overseas. You get about 50 choices per variant/series. You even got the good 1-series which YOU drive. Hell, we only get 1 diesel engine over here and no manual variants. In other words BMW is watering down our market while you have so many damn choices overseas there's no way you can't find a decent BMW. No wonder your NOT whining. CSL, GTS, EVO, Alpina should I continue. My problem is not so much color choice as it's overall direction of BMW.

Personally my biggest gripe with VO on the new 1er is that I think it will only have a negative effect on the cars already challenging curves! Maybe Individual need to over a 'James-Bond Invisible' paint finish to the F20... |

I'm not even close, to have the financials to buy CSL, GTS ect. I'm driving a pretty standard 3-door 118d hatch, without much equipment... but loving it... |

I'm not going to lie, the F20's front-end is ugly, but to me, it's not any worse than the E8X, which, personally :flame suit on: I don't like the aesthetics of either. But I don't see why it's so terrible that BMW explores their options. They have the capital and foundational strength to do something out of the ordinary and possibly discover something other automakers can't afford to do. I mean, come on, give them credit--at least they're coming out with something new all the time, and I enjoy changes. I say let BMW test waters as many times as they want because eventually they'll discover and create something extraordinary. |

You're right. Price advantage is the one plus we have here in the States. That's it. Europeans still get the better cars. And guess what, your very vehicle is not available here with gas approaching $5 a gallon. I bet it's a manual too.

Lol, companies like BMW don't lie.. they just reserve the right to change specification, standard or optional equipment at a later date without prior notice... As I recall the only time that I saw VO listed as an exclusive colour was on the initial press-release... I wouldn't know for a fact, but I'd imagine it's not refered to as exclusive in any of the sales literature, or options sheets?

Valencia Orange is 1M exclusive, Mineral White is M3 exclusive, Liquid Blue is brand new - I would say they would be individual colours rather than the normal metallic - so you won't see many of them around I would say.

I really don't get what you guys are complaining about... ANY colour BMW makes can be ordered on pretty much ANY car... with some costing more than others due to it being an "Individual option"... but still... who the hell cares!? Your precious 1M's will retain their value anyway due to it being a limited production run.
You should be thanking BMW if anything for giving you better selection!

It sucks that all the 'exclusive' M colors are becoming available for the general lineup.
Anyhow though no matter what color you paint the F20 in its an ugly car E82 is much better looking IMO

Who cares. I will still smile when I walk up to my car. We don't own that color. I'd rather not have it so limited if I ever need body work. It doesn't make my car ansy less neat because you have that color. We both will have neat cars in neat colors. Holly 1M Valencia orange |
