Everyone run to your dealerships and order your 1-series now
before BMW puts this nail in the coffin. What a disappointment... and after making such great headway with the 1M!

Forgive me if I'm not understanding something here... but why are the engines so much smaller than the current 1-Series?

Oh, didn't you hear? Efficient Dynamics is the future of BMW... apparently REGARDLESS of how it looks, performs, feels or goes!

The headlights and the tail lights are hideous.

It alright... not the best they made indeed... However it keeps the back and lateral lines as the other new model, and implements the new grill, which I agree looks oddly with the headlight form. Anyways It is a very nice model, better looking than the previous one, and better than its competitors... its no 5er, but it has the new nice rectangular led angel eyes. and nice shaped lines. So yes I would definitely call it a 4/5.

Big turn off for the exterior... the rear Looks too much like a VW... very disappointing overall.
I sure hope they're not going to mess up the coupe (F22) look. Essentially, this kinda makes me think twice about ever going to get another 1 series... the way its heading, not very likely! |

Well, to be honest, I don't think it's that bad. It's more European than American, much less aggressive.
But as a FWD layout and sharply increasing gas price, I think the Germans are more concerned about efficiency and dynamic more than performance. I agree, the interior is decent, the outside is arguable for us Americans, but for Europeans, again, is fine. |
