You CAN track the car stock, but it will give up the goods after about 2 hot laps. But I didn't purchase it because I wanted to track it. I purchased it because it is super comfortable and has an amazing sounding V8 is that is relatively quick. I can't ask for much more. I'm thrilled with my purchase.

This car has great presence. I see them now and then, and do appreciate the aesthetic.
I would want to see the TTV6 issues settle down before stepping into that engine on a LX or Tundra. Shame the engine isn't offered in the Land Cruiser or 4Runner in the US. Last edited by chassis; 07-07-2026 at 05:41 PM.. |

It's crazy to me that Toyota did not take advantage of developing an inline 6 turbo. Instead, they choose to develop an overly complex twin turbo V6 which they've never done before instead of an inline 6 that we all know they could do based on prior history plus they had access to the B58 in 2016. An inline 6 is so much simple, smoother running, can handle more load, generally easier to package. The list goes on. Such a missed opportunity for them. Now they're stuck with this POS V35A-FTS until they redo the short block and likely the crank. There is nothing legendary about a twin turbo V6 Toyota plus V6s sound like trash compared to a single turbo inline 6 (notice how I didn't mention a twin turbo inline 6
)Take a page from BMW and the B series motor. The thing is totally modular and the same closed deck short block is used in its diesel variants.
