Elderado82 re-designed the 2027 BMW Neue Klasse 3.0 CSL that brought the "BMW" back into the BMW...and I added some accents on it.

Really nice! Altho some may say it has a S550 Mustang vibe to it. Of course the S550 borrowed the Hofmeister kink so thats part of it.

Just a little context for this. There's another thread about using AI to fix your BMW, and I put a post in there about how I don't like the look of the 2027 Neue Klasse models.

The 1973 CSL, while not technically a Neue Klasse design, belongs to the New Six era. It does, however, share a massive amount of its design DNA and architecture with the original Neue Klasse coupes. I feel this was peak Neue Klasse design while also bridging right into the next era for BMW with the New Six.

Therefore, I felt that if BMW were smart, they would have played with those design cues and modernized them for the future. But no, instead they went the lazy, safe route when designing the new 3 Series.

Here is my original blend, first one is more modern take, the second is more of a retro take. I used Adobe Photoshop and Nano Banana to make these.

Are you trolling? Maybe the rear wheel arches are similar, but that is it. Are you confusing the general design of sports coupes and grand tourers? Other than the wheel arches and the fact that both are sports coupes, they have almost nothing in common. Oh I get it now, you're the guy who made this render (well, rather, asked AI to make this render?) so you're very triggered by anything that could be construed as criticism I guess? Not sure being likened to the very cool AMG GT 55 coupe should be seen as a bad thing, but I do understand why you're so sensitive.

Someone with your inability to handle feelings before opening their mouth (or mashing the keyboard) isn't who I wish to bother with. I already have 2 young kids to raise who exhibit that behavior (which is age appropriate for them).

I'm not mad, triggered, or upset in any way, shape, or form. I purely asked if you were trolling and if you understood the design behind Sport Coupes and GTs. I personally don't see what you see when it comes to the similarities beyond the rear wheel arches. I purely asked for your thought process.

Oh, and yes, I used Adobe Photoshop, as I stated, and AI to help clean it up. I'm not a Photoshop pro and was just playing around with it, so I used AI for some help. I miss designers who actually, designed, versus copy and pasting all the modern styles together.

Not a fan of modern headlight strip lighting. Looks like it belongs on the side of a party bus or RV.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder (as apparently is the AMG 55...) but IMHO the Neue Klasse has real promise and this CSL render shows it. I hope they build something very much like it!

Not off topic. The "retro" restyling above screams BMW (or maybe alfa, but that's not bad either) whereas the first design in the OP is an echo of a mistake made in Munich.
