Hi everyone,

I’m having an issue with my 2014 BMW F20 114d’s iDrive system (NBT). The screen is stuck on the BMW logo with no sound or interface. I’ve tried:
- Soft reset (holding volume button for 30+ seconds).
- Letting the car sleep overnight without battery.

I wanted to try a software update but Most YouTube videos/forum threads are outdated or skip steps. Does anyone have a *detailed, beginner-friendly guide* for troubleshooting/flashing iDrive with E-Sys?

Where can I find the *correct PSdZData files* for my 2014 F20? I’ve seen conflicting info about version compatibility.

If it’s a hardware failure:
- How do I confirm if the head unit is dead?
- Where to buy a compatible unit in the EU (I’m in France)?
- What coding is required after replacement?

Any advice or links to reliable resources would be greatly appreciated!

Oh well, liteerally same happened to me, but after SW update from USB stick. It freezes on Logo and then No Signal in some time. Kinda sucks as I didn't modify anything (yet apparently). I'm waiting for a car charger and a cable to arrive today and tomorrow and will try fixing it all with a guy I found online. I'll keep you posted.

Search for the "(100%) How to FLash NBT EVO with Esys + ICOM / ENET (DIY)" this is the most complete guide I could find this morning.
Worst case you look for NBT head unit on ebay or something. Some sellers offer pre-programming it for your car before they send it. Appears to be 250-350 quid for a unit
