Hi guys!
New on the Forum, I’m currently looking for a m135i since it seems to be very fun and potential car. It would be an additional hobby car, and preferably manual. Now the problem is that there is two very nice looking options, but both are PWG. I’m planning to have stage2/stage2+ incl. DP and FMIC. In this case is the PWG a deal breaker? There is one manual 2015 model but it’s 4K more. Each option has 90-130tkm in dash. Additionally, each car has the “uglier” steering wheel, any info/forum posts about changing the nicer looking steering wheel? For suspension and wheels I have a pretty good package searched already. Any other mods I should consider? Thanks a million in advance for your help! |

Electric is in some situations much more reliable AFAIK, but there are also some differences in practice how they function/response especially when pushing more power. That’s all I know for now. |

There is a huge difference between EWG and PWG M135i's.
1. The turbo downpipe is 4" instead of 3" 2. The electronic wastegate holds boost better than the pneumatic, EWG makes about 10% more top end power 3. EWG is much nicer to drive, the PWG has a very noticeable dropoff in power too early in the RPM range 4. The EWG N55 has forged con rods (cast in the PWG, this is why PWG N55s tend to have rod bearing failure) 5. The EWG N55 has a forged crankshaft |
