F20 Headlights
Hi guys,
New to BMW's... Have just picked up a 2013 118i, I notice overnight we have HEAPS of condensation in one headlight. Is it a case of new seals on the caps you take off to change bulbs? Or just new caps? Sorry if this has been asked before |

Apparently, the moisture gets in and fails to evaporate. This should require removing the headlight to inspect it, perhaps. Or applying some repair kit they have if you know how to use it.

I had similar issue with xenon front left headlamp. Took the headlight out and ran some windscreen sealer round the lens to housing joint.
Problem solved. Relatively easy to get the headlight out. PITA to get it back in. |

I think the water drains down the bonnet channel onto the headlight. The headlight has a hollow at that spot and water gets through any break in the seal in that area.
