Bluetooth/aux confusion
Hi everyone,
Totally confused by all the information online on this subject. I've got a 116d 2014 with the cic system (nav). I can connect calls via Bluetooth but no music, there is no option to enable audio, just calls on my idrive. The aux in the armrest doesn't do anything either. I have a pixel 7 pro and missus has an iPhone and both won't play music. Do I have to do something to enable Bluetooth music? |

Hi.
Yes, of course: https://f20.1addicts.com/forums/show....php?t=1286016, https://f20.1addicts.com/forums/show....php?t=1576654. If games were that easy they would be no fun. |

Hello, I’ve enabled bluetooth in my iDrive via bimmercode, it wasn’t hard at all! There’s plenty of guides on youtube.
You need 3 things,a combox in the back, you can find it in the back under the cover, I’ve attached a picture of it. You also need bimmercode and an OBD unit. I ordered the VeePeak unit from amazon, and it works as a charm. You can find a list on bimmercodes website where you can see all compatible OBD unit. And for your aux, make sure you’re in the aux menu in the iDrive, or maybe it’s broken. I found out my aux was broken when I bought my car, so I just bought a new aux/usb unit from a scrapyard and changed it myself, all you need is a small flathead screwdriver and some patience. Hope this works for you! -K |
