Since we're in a Bridges lovefest, Bone Tomahawk is pretty unique.

Finally got around to seeing Hell or High Water. I found it to be VERY entertaining and would highly recommend watching it if you haven't already. Bridges performance was perfect and Pine did a pretty damn good job too, but Foster was just incredible.
Oh yeah, I thought this was a great movie!

Of course, it's not partial since I'm a big fan of "The Dude."

His role in the remake of True Grit was awesome as well.

I mean as a 40-year old man, I'm technically an adult child, but I still have the mindset of a 20-year old college student. Since the fiance and I don't have children and don't want them.

I've just never gotten into stuff like that.

I like that stuff that's at least tangentially grounded in something close to reality. I have thoughts on why certain people enjoy things like that, but I don't want to get another infraction.

I really enjoy this OT section more than most.

Wait, that's Kurt Russell not Jeff Bridges, plus other good actors. Good movie, btw.

Who doesn't love The Dude?

And yeah, "True Grit," the remake, was a very good movie. I, personally, liked it better than the original, and that's saying something because that was with John Wayne.

Haha, I kinda feel ya, perhaps your theory holds true lol. I dunno, I personally don't get why those movies are SO popular, but, hey, different strokes…

Watched “ticket of paradise” today. Enjoyable romcom movie. I liked the settings, storyline, acting, etc. It’s a throwback to Eat, Pray, Love and Up In The Air.

I thoroughly enjoyed the True Grit remake, loved Rooster Cogburn lol. Another awesome job by Bridges. He's quickly become another one of my favorite actors.
You didn't like the Big Lebowski??? "Well... that's just.... your opinion man....." 🤣

Not sure how anyone could dislike The Big Lebowski. My advice is to watch it again, I didn't get it the first time - I think I stopped watching it. After a white russian or 2 might help as well.

dradernh - that's a shame to hear about The Old Man. I did hear about his health scare as well. His photography is pretty badass too!

Found this just now:

I remember years ago my mom had never seen it, The Big Lebowski. So I invited her over to watch it and we made White Russians, were pretty toasty by the time the movie was done.

Most people, and bartenders, use a crappy recipe for a white russian and use way to much half and half or use milk instead.

I've smoked joints with my dad at concerts and stuff too. My fiance's parents were super, super strict when she was growing up. But the last time she went to Florida she smoked weed with her dad too.

Last time they visited us I went and bought a nice bottle of Bourbon and her dad and I just sat and chatted and had some drinks.

Do your parents still treat you like a child even though you're an adult? That seems way more strange to me.

No, ofc not, but if you think smoking blunts and getting hammered w your parents is being an adult, then count me as forever immature.

Oh come on, I didn't say THAT was being an adult. But I don't see the big deal with having some drinks with your parents or in-laws.

That's something totally different: we need to focus on the actual issue at hand. Having drinks is nothing/perfectly fine, but getting hammered? I dunno man...we definitely grew up differently. You sure she's not your stepmom?
