Tilt Down Mirror F20 Coding
I need help to encode a F20. She has Tilt down since changed the mirror selector and nothing.
Is there any coding to Tiltdown?

I'm not sure it's that easy. I think I read something that said you either have to have memory seats or electric folding mirrors to have this option. But, then again, I am not entirely sure

I have a 2015 model, with electric mirrors and memory seats but I don't know how the auto tilt down thing works. The dealer said to me "when you park, the mirror tilts down" but at the moment it does not. How is this feature supposed to work?

If you have the functionality on your car it either tilts or not according to where you have the selector to adjust the external mirrors. To the left or right turns it on, the other way turns it off. I think it might be dependent on which side you drive, so experiment with it in both positions and you should be able to work out which one makes it work.

When you engage reverse gear the passenger side mirror will tilt down. It's not the fastest thing in the world. When you deselect reverse (neutral or forward) it will return to the normal position.

I have tried to code this, and it does not work on 2016 F20...
What you have to code should be in FEM_BODY: ASP_BORDSTEINAUTOMATIK => Activate (mine was not) ASP_BORDSTEINAUTOMATIK_DELTA => Change value to 4B or 5A as above) The code worked without errors. At the end, it did not work, I am really sad because this option is quite usefull as I park in tight places everyday... If anyone has any idea how to make it work? I do not have memory seats, but I do have electric mirrors (without folding motor) |

There must be another option to activate for cases like mine that dont have folding mirrors or memory seats. I will try again this evening, maybe the coding took quite some time to take effect? as i was trying right after coding. Also in this code, it is only possible for passenger side mirror to tilt down? i would like both mirrors or actually only Right mirror to tilt down (left driver seat) as in parkings its much more usefull to have better view on the right side of the car. |

Hi,
I don't have electric seat nor folding mirrors, but this function (mirror tilt) was working for me. Now it is not working. I have checked with e-sys, and tried to change the Asp_bordsteinautomatik_delta to different values, but it is still not working. It is also confusing that e-sys offer two option for this: 59_Digits and 85_digits. What is the default here? |
