So what? The power isn't all yet. AFAIK Mercedes is famous for ridiculously powerful engines with no remarkable chassis. Porsche is reported to win by handling:
I'd instantly choose a basic Cayman over M2. |

Oh yes, this is a really heavy reason why I'm not going after Cayman (that's besides it's price). Even my current car appears vulnerable to that. |

Pretty much highlights the difference!
Why "DSC off", as a matter of interest??

Trust me, M135i JB4 400+bhp and 450+ lbft responds much better with DSC turned off !!! :-)

Get a JB4 fitted and setup on your M135i - evens it up somewhat

I can reassure you The dials are just overlays and aren't functional in this special video. DSC was on all the time - on highways there really is no use in turning it off..

That's because 400+bhp and 450+ lbft has the ability to overcome all available traction and will spin up the wheels most of the time on most public road surfaces. DSC will limit the power and torque to levels that prevent that loss of traction

From physics, power equals force times velocity. At 200 km/t, with 500 hp at the wheels, you have around 6600 Newtons of thrust, which is less than 0.5 G of acceleration. |

I drive always dsc off. I prefer it this way. I notice big difference when i leave traction control on. Its just annoying.

How about DTC? This mode pretty much disables the traction control, but leaves the stability control on. I think it works well for driving on public roads in slippery conditions, but I also use DSC Off all the time when I am on a track.
