Battery disconnection query
Hi all,
Real quick question I'm removing the steering wheel on my car tomorrow and therefore disconnecting the airbag on the steering wheel. I'm going to disconnect the battery beforehand obivously but I've read different things all over the internet so can somebody help. Do I disconnect only the negative? or disconnect the negative then the positive (so both) ? Sorry to sound novice but alot of people just say disconnect the negative but what is the difference Thanks in advance I'm sure this question will get cleaned up pretty quickly |

It is enough to remove the negative terminal. Then all circuits in the car will be broken. Removing the positive terminal after that will not make any difference.
Just be careful when connecting the negative terminal again. |

It will make a small voltage shock in most circuits, and maybe a spark where you connect. Don't have anyone sitting very close to your airbags at that moment, just in case.
