M135i performance gauge
Hi
Can anyone confirm whether the performance meter/gauge showing kW and Nm is all theoretical or actually measured via a torque sensor - eg. on the gearbox? I believe the gearbox has an overload protection so something should be measuring input torque... - Niels |

If its the SPORT display onPro Nav screen you are referring to I believe these are a graphical representation based in throttle position as opposed to feeds coming from engine and g/box measurement sensors.

I don't think that power/torque is measured, all the figures are calculated by ECU (probably preloaded curves for power/torque vs throttle position). But these are just my suppositions.
