My new bmw 125i :D
Ahh and Ive been waiting for the last 2 weeks for it to arrive at my dealership here in South Africa, and today Ive been told i can pick it up.. YAY but im away so having to ask my brother to pick it up, will have some pics up in 4 days when i return home.
Some Specs for those : M sports package Black sapphire metallic Xenon lights Sun roof Bluetooth Head Light Washers 18" M light alloy wheels Star-spoke style 386 M with mixed tyres. And all the other features that come standard here in South Africa. One thing i am very disappointed about is that I only recently learnt that climate control is an optional extra and as my car was already made, it doesnt have it.. hope that the standard air conditioning is good enough, im sure it will be Will have a few pics up soon, I am really excited as i heard the 125i is quicker than all my mates' GTI's |

Congrats! Can only imagine how the 125i is like, I have the 116i and I'm quite impressed of the power in the (used to be) entry 1-series model!
The chassis is perfectly balanced - this was confirmed when driving a lot on snow in the christmas holiday. The DSC also works perfectly under such conditions, and the DTC allows much fun! In fact - my girlfriend said it was better to drive and more balanced on slippery conditions (snow and ice) than her parents' E91 318d. The DSC also worked better on our F20, to prevent unwanted spinning and drifting. |

Thanks for the information papertiger, I'm super excited, I'm jumping for a mini cooper S, hence why I went for the 125i, wanted the upgrade in power! I wish I could take it in the snow, but we have none here in South africa :P.. Was wondering does anyone have manual aircon and how is it?

My first drive - absolutely beautiful , the power, the comfort, the way you just slouch back in you seat, what a superb drive , combination of preformance, comfort, luxury ! Took on my first GTI at a robot, don't think he couldn't see that I was in a 125i from the front, but after passing him he realised he had no chance :P here's some more pics

Awesome dude, every time I see that M-Sport steering wheel I wish I'd ticked M-Sport instead of plain old Sport
I see you bought it at Auric Auto, what was your experience like with that dealership? |

I was washing the car last week so I could take a few shots to post on the forums but after polishing the bonnet I mistook the tyre silicate compound for the polish and ruined the applicator. Going to have to get some new ones and attempt another wash this weekend |

Nicely speced car man Mine was already made so couldn't choose my specs.. I would have wanted the sport transmission as its only R2100 extra ontop of normal automatic and you get the paddles, would have wanted the bluetooth and automatic air conditioning and most of all the Harman/kardon :/... how is the sound system? I guess the only i have that you dont is the m sports pack and sunroof

Thanks. To my tone deaf ears the sound system is fantastic, great sound without being tainted by too much bass (like I had with the ridiculous sub in my polo). I wasn't prepared to compromise on the options and luckily for me there was a car allocated to SMG that was in the last stage of the BMW production process where changes could still be made so I got what I wanted with the minimum amount of lead time. In fact the car arrived several weeks early and had to sit at the dealership until I could get it licensed as a 2013 model (another thing I wasn't willing to compromise on)
I occasionally wish I'd chosen M Sport, but overall I am totally satisfied what I got. |
