Sports Auto Box
Hey guys. Have a question for all that have sports auto.
I'm sure I read somewhere that if you put the car in sport+ mode and use the paddles on the wheel that it would stay in manual mode and not change until you give it the command (unless you go too low or high an rpm which it has to change to prevent stall or engine damage) No matter what I try after about 5-10 seconds it reverts to D (auto) mode What am I doing wrong or is this just how it is... : |

I just had a thought! Maybe you need to tap the stick to the left (manual mode) first! Will try this tomorrow

If you select Sport mode and use the paddles on the wheel it will stay in the manual mode whiilst you use the paddles, however it will revert back to auto if the paddles are not used when a change is due (5 to 10 secs or rev limit). If you want full manual, you have to select Sport or Sport+ and move the shift lever over to the manual side. This gives it the command to hold in the gear selected (unless you go too high in rpm in which case it changes up to prevent engine damage or if you stop, then goes back to M1)
It will not downshift if the rev limit is exceeded |
