M135i - no coolant or oil temp?
I was hoping to find this in iDrive, to replace the MPG display or perhaps as part of the sport display.
Surely, they havent left this out....all the x35i's have this??? Its very important to know when the car has fully warmed up as that equals fun

It is the same for all 1ers
You can view it by going though the Idrive's sub menus. I have been told you can have the guage graphic shown if you have the black back screen. I have viewed the info for water and Oil but cannot remember the sequence as I am OSeas at present. Back soon |

The information is also available on the OBD2-port. If you insert a bluetooth transmitter in this port, you can run water temperature instruments on a mobile phone.

Not very different from my 130i, I have the performance wheel with oil and coolant temp. steady it stays at 105 for the oil and 95 - 100 for coolant, on traffic or spirited driving the oil climb up to 120 and coolant to 105 or so.

Mine runs even hotter!! However, in greece during summer we have temperatures of around 34-40oC, so I expect to run a bit hotter.
Usual driving, I get coolant around 102-110oC and oil from 108 to 120oC. Spirited driving for about 20' has seen the two numbers rising to 116oC and 120oC respectively!!

Nope....just regular driving. Once it is run in, will have to then see the temps at full throttle for a bit

I know...that is what I am saying, that in winter my car runs to similar temps. In summer it runs hotter. In general new cars run quite hot compared to what we were used to.
