Im assuming you have the basic bluetooth in your car or you would be just using a2dp connection.
The new lightning adaptor doesnt have analog audio out on it , thus the Y cable won't work any more. |

Well, I did the test yesterday. iPhone 5 comes with USB to lightning, so when I plug into the USB port on my F20 it doesn't work, as you already know, it requires a new Y cable.
Bluetooth works perfect (calls, phonebook, etc) I bought the 30 pin to lightning adapter to use my old Y cable...I'll let you know as soon as it arrives. |

If the analogue part of the lightning is missing, can't you just use an ordinary headphone to headphone lead into the aux in.
I havent got one to try but if you plug a headphone into the hphone port on the iphone, and the other end into the aux in, and the USB Y cable to the lightning via the Apple adapter, does that work? ie. (excuse my rubbish MSPaint skills) |
