Ok guys, now I finally got the time to post some (~50 ) pics and a few words .
Few words: Thursday started bad.. because I took the train to Munich.. which got delayed 90 minutes, thus killing my schedule completely. I managed to get another train so I ended up being "just" 1hr late. But my replacement train had a broken AC, which left me sitting (and sweating) in a 32°C hot train for 2.5hrs with a bunch of strangers. Eventually I arrived at the BMW Welt. I skipped all tours, the museum and the factory (I got vouchers for all that for a later visit), and just went for the AC'ed lounge where I waited a mere 15 minutes, refreshing myself with cooled drinks, before I got picked up and we headed towards my car, which I already spotted, as it was parked right below the lounge. Afterwards I went to downtown munich with some friends, one of them picked up his 125i E82 this day too, and we had a nice evening in town. After that I headed towards Stuttgart, leavint Munich at 11:30pm, arriving home at 2:00am, just to get up for work at 6am today . As a result I am somewhat tired right now . But enough words, I know you all just wanna see pictures. Unfortunately weather sucked all day long, so I grabbed the camera and ran outside the moment I saw sun! The rest of the pics I took right before sunset on my way home this evening, fooling a bit around with the camera. BMW Welt: Day 1: Thats it.. for today

Nice colour! :-)
I notice that your climate panel is different from the one I have. Is it a manual type? I think the automatic version is default on cars ordered in Norway, because I didn't order it specifically. |

Yeah, its the manual AC, as I didn't feel the need to sink 600€ into the auto AC .
Thanks at all so far

This is my favourite picture of your car:
I like how the light exposes all the curves and shapes of the car. I see you used a Canon 1000D (same as mine). If you have it as a raw format file, I think there is a lot more potential in this picture. It needs to be made darker. That will bring out the colours better. |

Nice try, but the burnt out areas can't be saved with jpg-files. With RAW-files, the sky would be more blue, and you would get more details in the highlighted areas on the side of the car.

Take good care of it. Mine is on the harbor in Germany waiting to be shipped to Norway. Off topic: Do anyone know how long it takes from Germany to Norway? |

Give it a week before you see it in the backyard of your dealer

Great car! Enjoy it. My favourite pic is the fish-eye effect one (2nd from the bottom). And then 6th from the top, at the BMW-Welt (which I might be visiting this summer with my new baby 118i...) |

I changed to RAW on camera and between getting food and driving around, I accidentally took a picture

After 3 days and (only) ~350km, I'll write down some thoughts concerning some of the controversial options and the known issues some have.
- no rattling/random noise/humming - var. sport steering works as its supposed to and I love it (had a testcar with it -> became mandatory), closest to my beloved e87 pre-fl mechanical steering - the mixed tires (225/245) are not chasing ruts (contrary to the 205/225 on my e87) - The ride mit M-suspension and 17" RFTs is still like 250% more comfy as my E87 pre-fl basic-ride with 18" RFTs (205/225) - reception of the radio pro is fine, even where the frequencies change it copes better and faster with that than my e87 - HiFi system: Imo its sufficient if you're not used to a 1000€-home-stereo. clean sound (although it lacks the tweeters) and a nice solid bass, good value for the money. - at one drive the backlight/brightness of the idrive display flickered, some others had that too. only happend that one time, never again since. will mention it at the dealer. - Ambientlight (lights package) is bright enough at night, some people complained its barely noticeable, but I think its very nice and ok. conveys a sense of value. I'm using white right now (sport setting) - will ask for the price for the lhs-rhd-visor tomorrow, that printed on sticker sucks. - seats - awesome! I'm changing the lumbar support quite often, depending on how I (or my back) feel, but never "removed" it completely yet. - autodimming ext. mirros: not as strong as the interior one (must-have!), but on the autobahn at night they were still quite helpful - M-steeringwheel feels very good, good grab, like the thickness, better than the normal wheel - (manuel) AC cools very fast, I thought my E87-AC was quick, but the F20 is again noticably faster - even without M Sport I suggest the black ceiling, the sense of value it conveys is very nice, worth the money! - some reported not-so-airtight trunks, I tried with a pressure washer and it was all airtight here - autogearbox is above reproach, loving it! If you like auto-gearboxes, you will love the 8HP! - no squeaking from the brakes yet (some reported) - blackpaneldisplay - nice toy, the 170€ are justified again just by the improveed quality feeling - no creaking plastics inside yet. Whatever else comes to my mind will be posted later. If you have specific questions, I'll try to answer them . Oh and for the Eco-Fans: 8th gear: 100: ~1600rpm 120: ~1750rpm 130: ~1900rpm 140: ~2100rpm First fillup at 282km. BMW told me they filled up exactly 20 liters, I refilled 44,26 liters, which results in a consumption of 4.70 l/100km (= 50 US mpg, 60 Imp. mpg). The BC told me 5.something, so either the BC is off (not really uncommon) or BMW filled in more than they told me. The future will tell the story .
