A question on sporty driving and the A/C
Hey guys,
It's been more than 3 months since I got my hands on my new F20 BMW 116i. I simply love the car. It gives me a huge smile every single time when I get behind the driving wheel or just admire it outside Anyway I'm worried about an issue and wanted to hear your opinion. Will driving the car on high rpms, or simply trashing it cause any harm to the A/C motor? Should I turn the A/C off when I'm driving on sport mode? As you know the A/C gets its power from the engine and high rpms are usually bad for the A/C motor. I used to own VW group cars (Seats and VW's) and I managed to break the A/C in most of 'em. I'm worried that the same might happen on me new bimmer Thanks!

BMW like Merc normally have sensors that open the clutches on the AC drive if high rpm or extra loads are applied. Not sure if it is on the F20's engines. Call your dealer.
