Storm Bay or Milano Blue 128ti
Hi everyone,
I’m struggling to decide between two 128ti’s and wondered what people’s thoughts are. One is Storm Grey with the red accents and the other is Misano Blue with the black accents. The blue feels a bit more special and stands out more, but the grey looks really clean and probably more classic 128ti. Both are similar spec and condition from what I can tell. Which would you go for and which do you think will hold value better long term? Last edited by Grant223; 05-25-2026 at 01:16 PM.. |

If you’re keeping it 3+ years and want it to feel special every time you walk up to it, go Misano Blue.
If you want the clean, timeless 128ti look and max resale flexibility, go Storm Grey. Personally I’d take the Misano Blue. The 128ti is meant to be a bit shouty, and blue + black accents nails that. Which one feels right when you see them in person? That usually answers it. |

Looking to keep it 2–3 years and I’ve only seen the grey in person, as the blue is rarer so it would be a long distance sale. My heart is with the blue, but I love the red accents on the grey. Such a tough choice.

While Storm Grey is a nice color I personally think that there are too many grey cars on the road.
I am prejudiced as I own a Misano Blue Z4. People are constantly giving me compliments on the color and combined with the black Shadowline exterior package it really pops. Also the ivory leather interior gives the blue a beautiful contrast. I recently added a black spoiler to the trunk in order to give the Z4 a little extra contrast. Go for Misano Blue, you will love the color! Last edited by Westside Guy; 05-25-2026 at 05:38 PM.. |

Both of them need black wheels or at least dark gunmetal. I thought I was looking at my daughter's blue Subaru Impreza.
If these were my only two choices, I'd go with the grey. |

Go Misano Blue. Storm Bay looks clean but it’s everywhere…Misano actually pops and screams 128ti. Colors that stand out tend to age better on hot hatches, so it’ll likely hold value better too.
