If you can charge at home and only use the car to commute, BEV makes a shit of sense IF, and big IF, you can find one that doesn't insist on driving itself and automating everything and has actual buttons rather than all screen interface.

I liked it because it was an American car and for an EV it actually had a reasonable front-end design (a grille - crazy!) and the body shape was attractive. Real MB switchgear and a gauge screen behind the steering wheel too. The big-ass center stack screen that constantly displayed a huge map never made any sense to me. Good on zener for picking one up.

Truth Bomb. A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

I work at tire shop doing alignments so I drive lot of different cars daily. I have not own other than BMW's until now. S has been the only different brand that suits in to my liking. Little bit lowering and wheels facelift S looks very good to my eyes and big screen is not bad to use at all and 75d has plenty of power for daily use. And this era of S let's you drive and the autosteer works pretty good if you don't wanna drive yourself.
I5 would be another choice but they are too expensive as they are so new. F10 is gonna stay as we need two car's for daily use. Maybe it will be G31 or G60 to replace it in somewhere in the future... Last edited by zener; 07-21-2026 at 04:29 PM.. |

Installed H&R springs yesterday and did alignment of course. Now I would like it to have adjustable upper control arms for the front. Original adjust does not do much. Hopefully my 15mm spacers arrive soon for the front.
