BMW Bumper and Bonnet/Hood Alignment
Hi there,
Hopefully I'm posting this in the correct place (apologies if not) Looking for a bit of help. I recently changed my headlight units on the car (Bmw F20) and think they look much better. The issue I'm having is that when I reinstalled my bumper, there is a significant gap on either side, where it connects to the bonnet. I have messed around with the torx screws securing the top of the bumper, as well as the two loop latches that can be twisted on the bonnet, but I am unable to rectify this gap. Hopefully someone out there can help me out with this, many thanks in advance. There are a few pics below to show what I'm talking about |

Thanks for the reply pal! Yeah I figured the headlights were the culprits. Going to loosen the bolts on the lights and mess around with the bumper to try and align it correctly. Many thanks

Headlight unit, of course. Do you even know it must throw the light accurately (to pass the MOT test)?
I had my bumper removed at the service (to access/replace some inner cover that had turned out missing) and it went back without any issues with the headlight units (factory fixed) untouched. |

Digging up an old threat but what areas did you need to adjust on the headlight unit to get it to fit correctly? I have the same issue with my M2 after replacing radiator. Doesn’t matter what bolts I adjust or how I move the headlight unit I cannot get those corners on the bumper to sit straight again.
