After hard negotiations with the dealer on Saturday, I finally agreed a deal and the order should be going in today.

My deposit was my 2003 Ford Focus 1.6 - £1250
£326 per month
£9931 GFV

List price for the car with all the options was £26,655.

Did you opt for 3 or 4 years pcp?

If 4, £26,829 total cost over the pcp period. In effect you got the car at virtually 0% credit.

Had the car order paperwork emailed through to me earlier today, the paperwork shows a dealer discount of just short of 9%.

They obviously recoup some of this through the 4 year 4.9% PCP @ £326 per month plus a GFV of £9636 which in total amounts to £25,284.

Dealer said I would have the car by the end of June.

Can't wait for the car to arrive.

Dealer explained that the car is arriving so soon as a guy had put in an order for a 118d Sport before his finance got knocked back. The dealer kept the build date with the factory and the car was still at a stage for the spec to be changed as long as it had the same engine.

It will be their first Estoril Blue through the dealer too.

Dealer has confirmed that build week for the car is week 24 however he thinks it will be sooner.

Excellent! and fantastic deal on your car- the list price for my car was 23,400- i only put down 500 deposit, and we're paying the same per month

As you know, I thought long and hard about ordering a F20 and the figures had to be right.

My initial budget was £299 per month but when the delaer was initially quoting £373 per month for the spec I had chosen I admitted defeat (to myself) and walked away from the dealer.

Sure enough, he called me back later in the day with an improved offer. He said he could do £299 but without my £1880 worth of options. I said no as all these options were essential. His final offer on the table was £326 and I sealed the deal by saying 'throw me a service pack in' and we have a deal.

Job done!

Having looked at the figures more closely (again) and taking into account the service pack that is now included, the discount i actually got was 9.93%.

List price was £26,655, dealer price £24,006

I even got £1500 for my part ex and a GFV of £9636.

Was over the moon with myself with the deal I got!!

week 24 is pretty good. I ordered my 125i at the end of April and was given week 26

I got a cancellation slot.

A guy had ordered a 118d Sport and his finance fell through after the slot was allocated. Car was still at a stage to have the spec amended and because I chose the same engine I have jumped the que.
