Some wind today, but otherwise more great weather. Next two days look rainy, so I stretched it out to 30 miles today.

27 miles, good ride.

12mph, 73rpm. We have gotten a little faster this season. Nothing to get excited about!

Upper 80s at the start. We started ~3pm and the paved path was radiating heat up and the sun was beating down, it felt like a sauna. After 4pm the sun was noticeably less intense and breeze and some clouds made things more comfortable.

I am fighting with worn out saddle rail clamp fasteners. I thought I had it fixed but I guess not. It is a late-2000s Cannondale standard saddle clamp with 2 screws and a pair of cams/pivots. The saddle is loose and wobbly which I think means the cross nuts or the screws are stripped. Screws are easy to replace, the cross nuts are harder to find.

Back to hot and humid. Still tolerable, though. Got 30 miles in today.

Was planning to do a 60 miler on Saturday, but I guess that's not happening now.

Mid 80s and humid. This weather takes the energy out of me!

Still fighting with my saddle clamp. I put new fasteners in today and hope they hold for more than one ride.

I set out to do 30 today, but I ran across a friend I hadn't seen in a while, so we stopped to talk. Then the sky got really dark and angry looking, so we went our separate ways before it started to pour. As it turned out, the storm missed us. I ended up with 15 miles instead.

Easy 5 mile ride to dinner and back! Some cooler weather coming, thankfully! Humidity has been rough the past two weeks.

7 x 200 today in a new pool. Local high school-turned middle school. Recently renovated pool area and lockers, nice location and cheap ($5) price. The hours are a little meager but we will work with it because of the other positives.

I was short on time so didn’t get my usual 8 or 10 reps of 200 in. A bit slower lately because we have been cycling and traveling. As the cycling winds down I want to get back to 200s on the 3:30.
