How old is the SUV? The older it is, the less the impact an accident will have on the price. If it is extremely old, your dealer is likely to buy it to sell wholesale for parts anyway. If it's a 3 year old SUV, then you might take a hit on the resale, but you can also ask your insurance company to go after the other party to pay for diminished value.
