Even if she rang the bell... its cersei.. would you trust ANYTHING she does at this point. She'd use that moment while your guard is down to pull out a secret scorpion and shoot drogon as he's sitting in the corner of the city.
You gotta destroy her, her followers, and entire counsel. Its like WW2 with the A-bomb. You end it and you end it quick with the least amount of casualties on your side.
