Personally i'd be extremely uncomfortable with not changing the oil from factory fill until the first proper service interval. On my own accord i'll get a change done at 1,500km.
As with the run in, there are two theories on this, some say drive like you stole it to seal the pistons, others follow the manual...
With my previous two new cars I did an in between approach where I did a couple of WOT accelerations but generally kept it very tame... both the VW and nissan has had no oil issues.
At the same time, my wife drove her car as she normally would (tame) and her car's fine as well...
surely there's no big issues either way..
