Agree with the charging challenge.
Let's stay one stays at an AirBnB in an out of the way place in the mountains, drives at 4am to a trailhead which requires a 5 mile drive up a steep and poorly maintained road, then hikes all day and finally returns to the AirBnB at night.
No charger in the AirBnB garage, and no time or desire to find a village that might, or might not, have a charger. Then spend 30 minutes - 2 hours charging.
Doesn't work for me. This was our reality this past summer, except the vehicle was ICE (gasoline). No worries.
