Hi, first post but been lurking for a while now. Please be kind!

My 2016 116i is brilliant in many ways but the rattle from the heat shield makes it sound like a tin can full of screws. It somewhat spoils the experience... BMW not interested and say that its a "characteristic of the car".

I've tracked it down to the heat shield around the turbo. It rattles a bit while the engine is cold, then makes a horrendous noise when you put the car under load.

Anyway, I've seen loads of people in forums posting about having similar issues but no one seems to post about having solution. So... does anyone have a solution? I feel like the heat shield could be modified in some way to stop it rattling?
