no, one can actually get a better mileage with the 125i than I do, but then you really have to drive extremely disciplined. I think I could manage 8,5 perhaps. I drive +- 70% on the highway.
I suspect that the automatic gearbox is the cause of the lower consumption figures the M 135i owners manage to get.
