The others are tough, it takes care / skill / practice to fill in dings very well. I have been putzing DIY with cars including full paint jobs for ~ 30 years and I have learned to just leave the small stuff alone. It's part of having a car you actually drive. That said do feel free to go for it.

I absolutely agree. I tried to DIY paint dings on my previous car. It was a waste: the result looked no better than the initial damage. I never had a painting talent though: even when assembling plastic aircraft models (my childhood hobby) I had to admit I'd better paint them not.
