Just bought an AUC 2012 F20 BMW 116i sport a few weeks ago so its still under warranty – very excited it is my first BMW purchase!!! But have noticed that the engine is really noisy when the engine is idle. I don’t really notice the engine noise that much when I am driving along. As I am new to BMW cars - is this common for the engine to sound like this? Or is this an indication of a fault. Sounds more like a diesel rather than a petrol engine.
