The nameplate on my M3 doesn't say made by BMW, instead states GmBH M or something akin to acknowledging made by the M division and not the regular factory.
People if you want an M car, buy one with true pedigree - M and then a 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 - even a M850 is questionable
