Demand spiked for what? I could only see demand for items that use computer chips... like laptops that people needed to work from home and tv's.

How could demand for anything else spike? Food lol? No... people did not suddenly start to consume more. Just the trend shifted more towards grocery stores vs restaurants.

The people that were forced to close? Restaurants sure... factories were back up and running within a month or 2. The math doesn't work and doesn't make sense... There are outer forces taking massive advantage of the situation. BMW being the perfect example. As long as suckers pay, they can do whatever they want. Hell, they can even reduce output if make the same amount of money.
