I'm looking forward to seeing my Dravit Grey G80 in a couple of weeks, and I appreciate your explanation here as I didn't know about it.
My first BMW was an E39 in Toledo Blue, identical to this one:
I never really knew where that name came from. There was a
Toledo Blue Stockings minor league baseball team in the late 19th century, whose logo (below) does look somewhat similar to the car paint... but that's an awfully obscure reference. If anyone else knows the real answer, I'd be curious.
