From my own personal past experience and experience of my friends, simply using lowering springs (with stock dampers) are usually a pretty bad idea... not only the damping force of the stock dampers would not match with the lowering springs, the geometry might be off (less optimized), and you might also be riding on the bump stops if the drop is too much...
